Adult Sunday School
9:15 a.m.

  • Do you want to know more about the Old Testament? On September 11, we will begin an Adult Sunday School series in which we will survey the content, background, theology, and meaning of the Law, Prophets, and Writings. Join us in the church library on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. Each class will include a lecture on DVD and discussion.
  • You are invited to an Adult Sunday School Class on our Christian Faith and Finances. Based on the book Enough: Discovering Joy Through Simplicity and Generosity, and a DVD by Rev. Adam Hamilton. Led by Rev. Bob Garrard. Begins on September 18th at 9:15 a.m. in the downstairs stage room.
  • History of the New Testament Era – The Christian Education Ministry is pleased to announce a new adult class for October 2011. The title of the class is “History of the New Testament Era” and will be taught by Lynn Myrick, LCCC and UW instructor. The class will be held in the Fellowship Hall on Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on October 6, 13, 20, 27. A sign-up sheet for the class is in the parlor. A textbook, History of the New Testament by F.F. Bruce will be available for purchase. We are very fortunate to have Lynn teach this class for us. He is an outstanding teacher and historian. You won’t want to miss it. Appropriate for high school-adult. For more information, contact Holly Garrard or Diana Hartman. NOTE: This is not a Bible study class. It is a history class that provides a backdrop to the New Testament.
