Salary Range $20,000 - $24,000

SALARY AND EVALUATION:

Performance and salary are reviewed annually by the Pastor (Head of Staff) in
conjunction with the Personnel Ministry and reported to the Session. The Session
makes final decisions on the Position Description and Salary.

​QUALIFICATIONS:

​The Facility Manager must possess the following:
● General knowledge, mechanical background, and the ability to maintain a large
plant and its premises. Supervisory skills to lead the custodians in their work.
General knowledge is required in cleaning methods and supplies, HVAC system
operation, snow removal, irrigation systems, security systems, access control,
fire suppression systems, elevators, landscaping care, and other systems.
● Familiarity with Windows-based PC, email, and MS Office. Familiarity with
planning software to track ongoing maintenance and operations. Familiarity with
phone-based apps as they apply to church mechanical systems.
● Familiarity with service contracts, plans, and contractor relations.

● Familiarity with the city, utility, and other governmental regulations as it applies to
facility management.
● Collaborative skills to work with the church staff and congregation members, with
a focus on scheduling meetings, setup, and tear-down.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

To the Session through the Senior Pastor (Head of Staff) as the immediate supervisor,
according to the position description.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise the church custodians’ work related to the daily functioning of the church
building and grounds, including, but not limited to: cleaning, grounds maintenance,
sanctuary set-up, meeting room set-up, wedding and funeral set-ups, and church
decorations.

Coordinate all aspects of facility management, including service contracts, contractor
relations, and associated tasks.

Ensure the church building and grounds are maintained to a high level of appearance,
repair, and upkeep.

Work with the Building and Grounds Ministry to establish plans, service contracts, and
actions to ensure ongoing maintenance and necessary repairs and upgrades.

Be available in the event of building and grounds emergencies to facilitate temporary
and long-term repairs.

Be responsible for all aspects of building and grounds systems, including, but not limited
to: irrigation system, security systems, access and key control, fire suppression system,
HVAC, elevator, snow removal, landscaping care, and other systems.

Develop a master plan for building and grounds, ongoing maintenance, inspections, and
future plans. Analyze and recommend an appropriate property management software,
launch and populate the new software.

Serve as liaison to the city, utility companies, and other governmental agencies for code
compliance issues and actions. Coordinate improvements and actions aligned with
governmental initiatives.

Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly Buildings and Grounds Ministry meetings.

Maintain and reorder cleaning and maintenance supplies.
